Coming unplugged usually has a connotation to music, but today let’s look at it another way. Let’s think of it as rebooting…like the TV or computer when they don’t work. This Anne Lamott plug is worth noting:

For those of us who feel that our load is too heavy to bear and our cross too cumbersome to carry, this blog by Butch Dean on May 3, 2018 should give us a whole new perspective. Happy Sunday.
“Forgive me, Lord, but I just can’t bear this cross anymore”.
God heard her prayer, said it was all right and asked her to come with Him. She found herself in the presence of Jesus, Who looked upon her with loving eyes.
“Jesus, please forgive me, but I can’t bear this cross anymore”. Jesus told her that He understood and took the cross from her.
Jesus then showed her a place where there were countless crosses. He told her to look around and find a cross that she thought she could bear. The woman looked upon the crosses available and shuddered.
There were huge, dark crosses…some with thorns…some with nails and some too awful to even describe. Then, her eyes fell upon a small cross, one she thought she could bear.
“Jesus”, she said, “I think I can bear that cross”, as she pointed to the small cross she had found. Jesus smiled at her, placed His hand on her shoulder and replied, “That is the cross you just gave me”.

There are lessons in living everywhere we look.
When I opened my curtains yesterday morning, two little bunnies were chasing each other around the yard at speeds I didn’t think rabbits could reach. It made me smile my face off and laugh out loud.
At lunch time I tossed a few crumbs of croissant into the yard and before the crumbs completely left my hand, a chickadee was devouring one. That also made me smile.
And then this came my way on the Internet. Happy Saturday.
Here is one of my favorite quotes which just happened to pop up on Facebook this morning, posted by a friend on vacation. Happy Monday.

Although we may be feeling unwell, grieving a loved one, facing another challenge, we are not alone in our distress even if it feels that way at times. Just knowing that there is a green pasture beside still waters and Someone to turn to for comfort and guidance should be blessing enough. Happy Sunday

“A hockey stick-shaped cloud seen in Saskatoon and shared by Canadian hockey star Hayley Wickenheiser is being regarded as a tribute to the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 people.” This is a news clip I saw on Twitter last night and I find it very comforting.

As we acknowledge Earth Day and do our best to tend to our little corner of the world, let us remember this psalm of David:
Psalm 24:1 – NIV: The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
Happy Sunday

Whether you are flying high or lying low, enjoy your Saturday to the fullest. Two of my daughters are flying across the ocean to visit their sister today and I am wishing them safe skies and a happy reunion.
Happy Saturday.
How in the world can you not feel lighthearted with a photo like this to behold. These are two of my grand-dogs enjoying a little leisure during their twice daily cliff walk. They are Kibo and Izzy and they live in the Channel Islands. Happy Friday.
