A Father and His Son

Here is a photo I cannot resist posting. It is my nephew reading the Bible to his three-and-a-half-month-old son. Just as the son of God learned everything from His Father, this little one is off to a good start learning from his daddy. It is among the top most precious photos to come my way recently. On this Good Friday, let’s remember the teachings of our Father and His Son as well as what a picture like this can teach us.

Go Now In Peace

In response to a blog on March 21st about being afraid, a friend shared that she and her husband carry a copy of Go Now In Peace at all times. We at St. Andrew’s Scarborough often end our services with this lovely piece of music. I have chosen the Ottawa Police Choir for today’s rendition. It makes me think of Jesus, on this Palm Sunday, riding on a donkey to his ultimate death on the Cross a few days later. Peace be with you. Happy Sunday.

Pleasant Surprises (1)

So many interesting things come our way in a day it is nice to take the time to appreciate and acknowledge them. A friend recently sent me a series of beautiful pictures and quotes which I am going to share for a few days next week under the title Pleasant Surprises. Happy Saturday.
