I have a problem with a few things in life, namely:
Holding grudges for years
Wielding a higher education over those of lesser learning
Not seeing both sides of a situation
Not heeding our own conscience or well intended advice
Those who believe being right is their right even when they are wrong
Those who wield their power to the detriment of others
Those who believe their lives matter more than someone else’s
Not using forgiveness as a way to ease a variety of social illnesses
Abandonment…human or otherwise
Seeing the speck in another’s eye without observing the log in our own
I could go on and on but I have a problem with me having a problem with all of this.
What do you think of when you think about power? Do you think of those who hold high places in government? Do you think of the rich and famous? Power is only powerful when used for the benefit of all. Here is what the Bible has to say about power:
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, Acts 1:8 ESV
For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 ESV
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, Ephesians 3:20 NIV
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, Colossians 1:11 NIV

We all have a light to shine and share with the world. I love when someone shines their light on me…it uplifts me and reminds me that any darkness is only a shadow in all that is good.
There seems to be an abundance of anxiety in our society today, taking away our right to contentment and happiness. Here are a few scriptures to help combat this unfortunate state of mind. I hope they will help to bring you a happy Sunday.
Happiness is the best feeling in the world because it encompasses all things positive…love, hugs, good news, healing, well-being, blessings, etc. Put on your smiley face and have a Happy Saturday.

This photo reminds me of Psalm 121: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills…” Today, let us lift up our eyes and see beyond what we normally see. Happy Sunday.
