So many have so much in the way of talents, yet so many are not applying them in their lives. Whatever your talents are they are God-given and not to be set on the back burner. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10. Happy Sunday
I attended another celebration of life yesterday. The main memories the family had of their mother/wife/grandmother were of how much she loved life and how life loved her back. It was meaningful that in the face of death she knew that she would “dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23). That’s how I find the courage to say, Happy Sunday, in the aftermath of sadness.
Do you ever feel that you are a slave to a life of busyness, illness, pain, commercialism…all the things that prevent us from enjoying the life we were meant to live? Sometimes just hearing a lovely peace of music can remind us that through it all we were born free and one day we will be free again.
To all who are facing many storms in life at this time I wish you a rainbow. Happy Sunday.

Some things just need to be shared and this song is one of them. It has brought me peace and comfort in times of grief, anxiety, pain, disappointment, and many other of life’s trials. Happy Sunday.
Do you find that as you turn each page in your book of life the story gets more interesting? Does each chapter make you anticipate the next one? Do you look forward to a happy ending? Or do you forget what the story line is and find yourself turning back the pages? Well, here is some pretty sage advice for those of us who do just that.

If you live to age ninety, how many days do you have left?
It is a finite number, and one day you will reach that last day. Remain conscious of the value of every single day.
Ask yourself every morning, “What can I do to make today count?” Happy Saturday.
He lives!
We survived the last supper, the crucifixion, the waiting period, and it is here…the day of resurrection…Easter Sunday!
It has been said before and is worth repeating:
It is not that Jesus lived and died but that He died and lives! Happy Easter.
A few weeks ago a friend was diagnosed with stage four cancer. She was devastated to hear this news and became sad and depressed.
After many more tests and appointments, she began to hope that with the right treatment, perhaps it wouldn’t be as bad as it sounded.
And then the other shoe dropped. Terminal. The prognosis is a few weeks, perhaps months.
This lady picked up the pieces of what life she has left and began preparing to die. Her affairs are in order and her family, while being heartbroken, is comfortingly close and supportive.
In conversation with her, I am overwhelmed by a sense of respect, admiration, and inspiration.
Her family, friends and church family are praying earnestly for a miracle.
As she faces her second chemo treatment today, which will hopefully prolong her life beyond the prognosis, I am praying for her, and hope whoever reads this, wherever in the world, will also offer prayer for this courageous lady.
My belief for years has been that when we have faith the size of a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for us. It was back in the early 1980’s that I read Matthew 17:20: “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”This scripture implanted itself into my heart and soul and is active to this day. Happy Sunday.
