Sometimes all we need in life is a little peace. May today be the day this happens for you. Happy Saturday.

Sometimes all we need in life is a little peace. May today be the day this happens for you. Happy Saturday.

I love quoting quotes and this one from Abe Lincoln sure gives us something to think about. Do we complain or rejoice.? Take your pick.

“To decide we don’t believe in something, it has to exist for us to have an opinion about it.”
The above came to me from a daughter of a friend who is an avid reader and collector of quotes and it makes perfect sense to me.
Choose something you don’t believe in and see where it takes you when you truly think about it….very interesting concept.
It’s fun when something comes my way totally unexpectedly like the following quotes from Pinterest when I was contemplating a Saturday blog…..
Expecting things to change without putting in any effort is like waiting for a ship at the airport.
You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. C.S.Lewis
You don’t need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step. Martin Luther King Jr.
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. Francis of Assisi

Happy Saturday.
My life is lived by faith…not blind faith, but supernatural faith. It works for me. Faith means much to many people and means nothing to others.
There are many examples of faith throughout the Bible and chapter one of Hebrews is a great example.
This came to me from the book, Hinds’ Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard:
“Faith has nothing to do with intellectual belief. Faith is obedience. Faith and abandonment to God’s will and power are inseparable. Faith is willingness to do God’s will. Unwillingness to abandon one’s own will and to obey God is unbelief.”
Because I believe, my life is lived by faith.
Happy Sunday.
How many times do we let the past put our present in jeopardy?
Some life lessons do make sense and this is one I picked up on Pinterest is one of them. Happy Saturday.

Aristotle said: “There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing”
Today is the day to avoid criticism. Happy Saturday.
There is something to be said for decluttering. In the process we find things we forgot we had; things that simply cannot be considered clutter. Yesterday, I found this lovely quote among piles of papers no longer needed.
Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I can’t handle together.
This is definitely a keeper.
Happy Sunday.
Here’s a quote I recorded from somewhere…I know not when or from where but it is a good one.
I’m not positive, but I think thinking positive is positively the only way to think.
Happy Saturday.
The artist, Thomas Kinkaid, known as the painter of light, is also known for his uplifting thoughts of which I share a few here:
Life offers second chances.
You’ll never know if life can be trusted until you take the risk of really living.
Approach every day of your life with dedication.
To gain a fresh perspective on your world, try looking at life through the eyes of a child.
Life, even a balanced, harmonious life, was never meant to be static and unchanging.
Life offers courage and strength and humor to cope with the inevitable negatives.
If you want little gifts of joy in your life…you may actually have to train yourself to notice them.
Life, if you have eyes to see the whole picture, brims with meaning, with purpose.
I’ll have more Kinkaid quotes in a few days.
