We in Canada are celebrating our country’s one-hundred-and-fifty-first birthday this weekend…tomorrow actually, July 1st. There will be fireworks, parades, parties, continuing into Monday. It’s extremely hot here in Southern Ontario, but many of us will only have to think of our great Canadian winters to stay cool. Happy Saturday.

Unfortunate but true, isn’t it? If we want to have the rainbow, we have to deal with the rain…and so many of us do. It’s not just those dreary rainy days that nature feeds its own, but the sadness that grips us when life feeds us our share of tragedy. Still, we must look for that rainbow, otherwise we will never experience the goodness of life that lingers on. Wishing you rainbows this Saturday.

How many of us realize just how many faces we wear in a day? It’s fun thinking about them but I’m not going to list them. Suffice to say put on your happy face and have a Happy Saturday.
So many of us have mixed feelings about the time change taking place at two a.m. Sunday morning. “Oh, no! I lose an hour of sleep!” But to me that extra hour of daylight is well worth the loss of sleep. It heralds the start of those long and lovely days of summer after a long and snow-filled winter.
