Time Out

Today let us take time out to rest and reflect…to rest our minds and bodies and to reflect on our souls. It is not an easy task to rest and reflect but with concentrated effort, it can be done. Happy Sunday

Matthew 11:28-29“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

The old country church in the beauty of autumn. It doesn't get any better than that. I thing the old country churches are so wonderful, look inviting, and are kept up nicely

Inner Peace

Profoundly and powerfully God has created into every human being the potential for inner peace and spirituality. (RHS)

May you experience profound inner peace today. Happy Sunday.

Just Checking In

Today’s post came via Facebook yesterday. It was accompanied by a very long, meaningful poem but I’ll just post one verse here. Happy Sunday.

I JUST CAME by TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
I DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,
BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME,
JUST CHECKING IN TODAY.’

See the Spirit Within (Namaste)

Recognizing God’s Spirit in each other would be a wonderful way of looking beyond appearances and seeing our unity.

“I will put My Spirit within you…” Ezekiel 36:27

“The Spirit within me salutes the Spirit in you”. This is one of the meanings for the word Namaste, an ancient Sanskrit greeting.

Here is one of my great-granddaughters (four years young in this photo) in the Namaste pose which she enjoys very much. Happy Sunday.

A Full Crop

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…this is the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22

There are days it is evident that this fruit is an integral part of our lives, if not all of it, at least some…other days, not so much. May we experience a full crop today. Happy Sunday.
