While housebound with yet another February snow and ice storm raging, I pass the time writing about the woes of winter in the following haiku using one of my favorite writing tools…alliteration.
Wild winds whip the snow
while winter wages white war
without a warning.
Like fall settling into winter, settle into whatever your Saturday holds for you and enjoy the changes nature offers. Happy Saturday.
We’re having a heat wave but it won’t stop us from enjoying our long Canada Day weekend. Day two is expected to be another scorcher and I’m on the hunt for more “cool” pictures. Happy Sunday.
“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
We in Canada are celebrating our country’s one-hundred-and-fifty-first birthday this weekend…tomorrow actually, July 1st. There will be fireworks, parades, parties, continuing into Monday. It’s extremely hot here in Southern Ontario, but many of us will only have to think of our great Canadian winters to stay cool. Happy Saturday.
May you spend time in your favorite place of worship this day even if it is in the beauty of the great outdoors…give thanks. Happy Sunday.
Whether you’re coming or going, whether it’s raining or snowing, be happy in knowing a brand new year is on the way! Happy Weekend.
Fabulous fat flakes of fluffy falling snow set the scene this Sunday. Enjoy the day and be blessed.
