Learning a New Word – UBUNTU

The following came my way from a friend and is a gentle reminder that we are not alone and so should not think only of ourselves. Taking time to visualize this little scenario brings a smile to my face.  Ubuntu. I really like this new word. Happy Saturday.

  1. I learned the word “ubuntu” reading the book No Future Without Forgiveness by Desmond Tuto. Ubuntu, the reality that we are all connected, part of each other, and that the actions of one affect the other, for good or ill.

  2. Yes, there was a depiction of the word as well but apparently it didn’t come through on the blog. It was a very nice little story about children joining hands to go after some candy that it was told them whoever got there first would have it to themselves. But they said one could not be happy if they were not all happy. It was lovely.
