Today’s Blessing

Here is today’s reading from one of my devotionals:

Lord, bless all those today who need healing of any kind. Whether it be physical, emotional, or mental, bless them with your merciful grace and eternal love. Let each one know that they are special in your eyes and that, in the realm of spirit, there is only perfection, wholeness, and joy. Amen

Happy Sunday.

The Final Exam

Well known and long time Canadian politician, John Crosbie has died at the age of 88.

He was known for a sharp tongue and quick wit.

It is said he was an avid reader and when once asked what book he was currently reading, his reply was, “The Bible; I want to be prepared for my final exam.”

Not bad advice, I’d say. Happy Saturday.

Help My Unbelief

There are people, believers and unbelievers, who have a difficult time understanding and taking to heart the fact that God has a wonderful plan for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Things crop up in our lives that put restraints on the plans we have made, and that is the time to wonder if maybe God has other plans at this particular time. I choose to believe this is the case and believe that His plans are far superior to mine, whether they seem for my own good or not.

Mark tells a story of Jesus healing a boy with an “evil spirit” after the boy’s father asks Him to “help my unbelief”.

Shall we also say, “I do believe; help be overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24

Coming and Going

Saturdays come and go. Some are really good and some, not so. Whatever you have planned for your Saturday, whether coming or going, I pray that your day will be pleasant, energizing and full of love. Happy Saturday.

Because He Cared

A few days ago a fellow blogger emailed me that he noticed I hadn’t blogged for awhile and hoped that I was not sick, hurt, or lonely; because he cared. It touched my heart.

Over two thousand years ago, a Child, Jesus, came to be with us because we were sick, hurt and lonely. It still touches my heart.

Because He cared we have hope for healing, peace, and love.

Because He cared, we are celebrating His birthday; Christmas.

Because He cared.

Merry Christmas.

When It Hurts

Yesterday, I learned that someone was deeply hurt by cutting remarks of another and remembered a little poem that had come to me several years ago in similar circumstances.

Forgive us oh my Father,

We know not what we do,

For when we’re hurting others

We’re also hurting you.

Happy Sunday.

Happyday

Have you ever wished there were more days in the week? What if we were to take our week and shorten each weekday, plus Saturday by four hours making twenty hour days? Sunday would remain twenty-four hours. With the twenty-four saved hours we could have a new day between Saturday and Sunday, giving us a three day weekend.

What to call the new day? Happyday.
