Considered Prosperity

Scripture makes mention of the fruit of the womb in Deuteronomy 28:11…The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity in the fruit of your womb.

And again in Deuteronomy 30:9…Then the Lord will make you most prosperous in the fruit of your womb.

Deuteronomy 28:4 says The fruit of your womb will be blessed.

My prosperity consists of three daughters and two sons; seven grandsons and seven granddaughters; eight great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons.

Our prosperity comes in many different ways and I consider mine to be the fruit of my womb. Whatever your prosperity, may it bless you in all ways. Happy Sunday.

From Beginning to End

Each year has its own peculiar ups and downs, blessings and blunders, things to remember and things sooner forgotten.

Saying hello to the future while waving the past a final goodbye is like tossing out a calendar chock full of old agendas and looking forward to a brand new start of appointments, birthdays, celebrations, events, and a new year of life in general.

There are already two events on my new calendar: a new baby joining our wonderful family in July and another family wedding towards the end of summer.

While we pray that the world will be a better place and do our part to make it so, it is God who knows the beginning from the end, as it is written in Deuteronomy 11:12…It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.

With that comforting thought in mind, my wish for humankind is peace and prosperity, health and happiness, more love and less violence from beginning to end in 2016.

Happy New Year, World!

No Matter What

Here is a verse that had me baffled for awhile. The promise is so promising that I didn’t expect to experience anything but wonderful events in my life.

However, what followed after reading Jeremiah 29:11 in 1995 was anything but promising.

Through the years, I suffered broken bones, business loss, cancer, heart disease, and the death of the second love of my life,

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

These are the plans you have for me Lord? Forgive me if I don’t seem too excited to embrace them!

But embrace them I did. My bones healed; caregiving replaced retailing; I survived lung cancer and heart disease, and grief gave way to peaceful acceptance. Prosperity isn’t always of monetary value. Believe me, I am prosperous in more ways than one.

The point is to keep on believing in God’s good, despite the disasters life throws at us.

Through it all, my faith stayed strong…no matter what.

My Angels are Numbered

I haven’t made myself aware of my angels for a long time. I used to be aware on a daily basis, and it was so much fun. Today, my prosperity angel, Ned, (999) appeared right here on my iPad just a few minutes ago, reminding me to once again be alert.

I just reblogged Ned’s story.

The Year That Was

My Precious Life, the book was the highlight of my year. It came to fruition on June 26, 2014, the day it was published by Westbow Press. It is  available on many online book stores; Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, etc. and can be ordered through any retail book store. It is a book of inspiration and life lessons.

My Precious Life, this blog, was another highlight. It began on April 5th and has just reached two-hundred and three posts, with nearly as many followers and almost seventy-five hundred views; not a huge number, I know, but not too bad for a beginner. However, the best part of this venture is the people I have met in the blogging world: very prolific and interesting people, from whom I have learned much. Thank you.

The year that was saw a granddaughter get married, another become engaged, two grandchildren realize their modeling dreams, and others seeing their dreams coming closer to fruition. My family, has and always will, be the best highlight of all my years.

The year had its ups and downs, but the ups were definitely the winners.

In the world there was, and is, sadness and despair but there is also hope.

“…In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

And on that note I extend heartfelt wishes for happiness, comfort, peace, prosperity (both spiritual and monetary), healing, health and well-being.

Happy New Year.

The Bible on Prosperity

There have been many books written about money and prosperity including The Wealthy Barber by David Chilton, The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley and William Danko, Your Money and Your Brain by Jason Zweig, just to name a few: all wonderful books, I’m sure.

And then there is The Bible by God.  Here are just a few excerpts from the Bible on prosperity and money.

I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit…Isaiah 48:17 NASB

Now I know that the Lord will prosper me…Judges 17:13 ESV

Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. Job 22:21 NIV

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord made him prosperous again…Job 42:10 NIV

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you…Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

My God will meet all your needs…Philippians 4:19 NIV

Whatever he does prospers. Psalms 1:3 NIV

You will be made rich in every way…2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV

On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income…1 Corinthians 16:2 NIV

And there are many more but I’ll stop here. I have to admit that Jeremiah 29:11 is my all-time favorite, and is mentioned in “My Precious Life”. As long as God has plans for me I am happy. Who wouldn’t be?
